Route Planning

# Turn a list of stops into routes you can run

Plan from a depot, auto-assign work, optimise stop order, then drag-and-drop until the board matches the day.

[Start Free Trial](https://dashboard.routelink.app/register)

## One board per depot and day

Every route starts and ends at a depot. Switch depot and date, add empty routes, and assign a vehicle and device before you send.

### Depot first

A warehouse, shop or yard. Multiple depots are supported; you switch in the planner. Copy or move stops when the work belongs somewhere else.

### Then the vehicle

Give each van, bike or car a record. Optional weight and volume limits show up as totals — and warnings — on the route.

## Auto-plan, then edit

Send unassigned, geocoded stops out across selected devices in one click. Optimise a run, then drag until it is right.

### A first cut in one click

Auto-plan uses a geographic sweep from the depot. Cap stops per route if you need to. Anything without coordinates stays unassigned.

### Then make it yours

Optimise a single route to resequence it. Drag between Unassigned and routes, or drop a stop onto a new run.

## Fit the work to the fleet

See items, price, volume and weight per route. Draw zones to filter work. Export a trip sheet if you still need paper in the cab.

### See an overload before you dispatch

The board totals each route. Overload is flagged in amber. Limits are warnings — they do not silently split the work.

### Zones for filtering, paper for backup

Draw polygons, group them, filter Inbox and reports. Print a PDF trip sheet when a driver still wants a sheet.

Integrate

## Intake Orders

Spreadsheet, store, or your own system — stops land in one inbox, geocoded, ready to plan.

Drivers and proof

## Dispatch and Deliver

Each device gets a PIN-protected browser link. Drivers navigate, complete, and capture proof — no app store.

Tracking and notifications

## Track and Notify

A branded tracking page instead of a phone call. Live overview while the day runs. Analytics when it is over.

## Inbox

The holding area for stops that are not on a day’s board yet.

* Search, sort, paginate and toggle columns
* Filter by zone or zone group, and save named views
* Open a stop or find it on the map from the list
* Bulk move, copy or delete
* Show quantity, price, volume and weight totals

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## Spreadsheet import

Upload a CSV or Excel file and turn rows into stops.

* Download a template, then upload .xlsx or .csv
* Name and address required; phone, email, reference, notes, quantities, weight and volume optional
* Preview the grid, edit or drop rows before import
*   Extra columns are ignored

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## Online stores

Shopify and WooCommerce orders become tasks, with address, contact and order number.

* Shopify pushes orders in as tasks
* WooCommerce can webhook on order created, or pull via REST
* Import from an integration with a date range from Inbox or Plan

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## Custom integrations

Connect the system that already holds your orders, without a spreadsheet in between.

* Push tasks to a Routelink URL, pull from your endpoint on a schedule, or sync by hand
* Zapier when you want a lightweight workflow
* Business plan for custom integrations

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## Geocoding

Addresses are looked up on import so stops land on the map before you plan.

* Lookup on import; supply lat/lng to skip it
* Failures and weak matches stay flagged
* Fix the address or drop a pin; coordinates stick
* Stops that never geocode cannot be auto-planned

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## API

Build a direct connection from your systems to Routelink.

* Create and update tasks from your own stack
* Use webhooks for automations on delivery events
* Available on the Business plan

[Intake Orders](https://routelink.app/product/intake)

## Route planner

A board per depot and day: unassigned work on one side, driver-ready routes on the other.

*   Switch depot and date
* Add empty routes, assign a vehicle and a device
* Confirm when a run is ready, or keep it on the board
*   Board and list views

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Depots

Every route starts and ends at a depot — warehouse, shop or yard.

* Multiple depots, switched in the planner
* Routes are planned per depot and date
* Copy or move stops to another depot

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Auto-plan

Send unassigned, geocoded stops out across selected devices in one click.

* Optional cap on stops per route
* Geographic sweep from the depot, then nearest neighbour
* Stops without coordinates are left unassigned

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Route optimisation

Resequence a single route for the shortest path back to the depot.

* Optimise one route at a time
* Depot at the start and end
* Drag-and-drop stays available after you optimise

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Drag and drop

Move stops between Unassigned and routes, or reorder a run, until the board matches the day.

* Drag between Unassigned and routes
* Drop onto Add Route to start a new run
* Copy or move work to another depot or date
* Disabled on touch and while a route is optimising

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Vehicles

Give each van, bike or car a record, then assign it to a route.

* Optional max weight (kg) and volume (L)
* Assigned per route on the board
* Import from a telematics integration where you have one

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Capacity

See items, price, volume and weight per route before you dispatch.

* Totals on the board for each route
*   Overload flagged in amber
* Limits are warnings — auto-plan does not split by weight or volume

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Zones

Draw polygons on the map and use them to filter work.

* Draw zone polygons; group them
* Filter Inbox and the task map by zone
* Auto-plan does not assign by zone

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Trip sheets

Export a printable PDF of a route when you still need paper in the cab.

* PDF trip sheet per route
* Backup for drivers without a phone, or as a paper trail

[Plan and Optimise](https://routelink.app/product/plan)

## Device links

Each device gets a unique browser URL. No app store, no install.

*   Name a device after a driver, a vehicle, or Van 1
* Confirming a route puts it on that phone and can SMS the link
* One device can run more than one route in a day
* Delete the device and the link dies

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## PIN protection

A PIN unlocks customer details on the device link.

* Share the PIN separately from the URL
* Change it if a phone goes missing
*   Rate limiting on guesses
* Bookmark the link or add it to the home screen

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Navigation

Open Google Maps driving directions to the stop from the device.

* Opens Google Maps to the stop coordinates
* List or map of the day’s routes
* Contact, address, notes and items you choose to show

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Start, complete, fail

Drivers start a stop, complete it, or mark it failed — and retry later if they need to.

* Start can notify the customer they are on the way
* Optional: enforce planned stop order within a route
* Failed stops stay on the plan so you can send them out again

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Proof of delivery

Capture a name, sign-on-glass, photos and notes at the door.

* Recipient name, signature, photos and notes
* Require the fields you care about to complete
*   Timestamped with device location

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Failed stops

Record why a stop did not happen, with a reason, note or photo.

* Default reasons: recipient not available, cannot find address, no time, no parking, other
* Custom reason list on Professional and Business
* Require a note and/or photo on fail

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Subcontractors

Onboard extra drivers for a peak without an app install or a long setup.

* A new device is a link and a PIN
* Delete the device when the job is done
* No store review, no extra login

[Dispatch and Deliver](https://routelink.app/product/dispatch)

## Tracking links

Every stop gets a branded page with status — no app, no login.

* Logo or company name from General Settings
* Status, address and a timeline from planned through delivered or failed
* Put the link in email, SMS or WhatsApp
* The page still opens after delivery
